Kaimon Chengchao was a powerful figure in Kyoto's Zen establishment during the early 15th century. The son of Emperor Chōkei of the historically disputed Southern Court, he is memorialized here beside his father within the imperial mausoleum grounds in the former precincts of Tenryu-ji temple.

海門承朝（かいもんじょうちょう）は、15世紀初頭における京都禅宗界の重要人物であった。歴史的に正統性が争われた南朝の長慶天皇を父に持ち、天龍寺旧境内に営まれた皇室の陵墓において、父帝の傍らに祀られている。
