Musicians in the Niwatori Hoko float during the pre-parade Yoi Yama evening festivities. The float associations display historical art treasures, such as tapestries as much as 400 years old. Each float has their own unique yukata (light cotton kimono) and other items for sale. Visitors can also go into the hoko floats.

宵山の鶏鉾で演奏する囃子方。各山鉾保存会は400年前のタペストリーなど歴史的な美術品を展示している。各山鉾はそれぞれ独自の浴衣（軽い木綿の着物）やその他の品物を販売している。来場者は鉾に上がることもできる。
