Rakushisha・落柿舎

Close up on a straw hat and raincoat, at the entrance to Rakushisha, the “Hut of Fallen Persimmons.” The great 17th Century master of Haiku, Matsuo Basho, visited numerous times and wrote his famous diary “Saga Nikki,” during one of his stays here. Taken on Kodak Ektachrome E100 film.
