Bridge crosses what appears to have been the Edo era moat surrounding Morioka Castle. Only the castle ruins remain, and the grounds have been turned into a park.

江戸時代に盛岡城を囲んでいたと思われる堀に架かる橋。城跡だけが残り、敷地は公園になっている。
