One of the ducks in the pond at Shinsenen, said to be the oldest existing garden in Kyoto. It was created in 794 as the emperor's private garden, part of the original palace from the time of Heian-Kyo.

京都に現存する最古の庭園といわれる神泉苑の池にいる鴨の一羽。794年に天皇の私的な庭園として造られたもので、平安京の時代からある宮殿の一部であった。
