A few minutes too late to capture the gorgeous sunset, but getting the sky and the castle reflected in the moat still isn't too bad. This castle was the Kyoto residence of the Tokugawa shoguns, and the location of the start and end of the shogun era, aka the Edo period (1603-1868).
