We went to Lake Biwa, east of Kyoto today, to see the Torii gate in the water at Shirahige Shrine in Takashima City. Very calming to watch look at the gate and hear the gentle lapping of the water, if you are able to tune out the trucks on the highway about 30 feet behind my camera :-)
