This weekend was the Charlie Saikley 6 Man Beach Volleyball tournament, where many of the former top players, pro athletes from other sports, and large numbers of partyers come together to get crazy and play at the Manhattan Beach Pier. In some ways, the 6 man tourney is closer to the roots of the historic Manhattan Beach Open than the official AVP event that occurs next weekend.
